How to Connect Any LLM

OpenAI Architecture

AnyLLM supports any service that provides an API in OpenAI format. You only need two values from your provider: Base URL and API Key.

Step-by-step setup in the extension

Follow these steps to add your custom server to AnyLLM settings.

  1. Open the AnyLLM sidebar in your browser.

  2. Click the gear icon (Settings) in the top right corner.

  3. Go to the "Models" tab and click "Add new provider". Select a provider from the list.

  4. Paste the data received from your provider into the corresponding fields.

Where to get the model name (Model ID)?

Depending on the service, models may have different names. For example, for ChatGPT-4o you usually need to enter gpt-4o, and for Claude — claude-3-5-sonnet-20240620. Always check the documentation of your chosen service.
